This Privacy Policy explains how Nine VPN ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we process. By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to the practices described here.
To establish and maintain your VPN session, the App generates and/or reads the following and sends them to our VPN backend to create a device-based (guest) session:
ANDROID_ID).Through Google Firebase Analytics we collect aggregated, mostly automatic information such as app opens, screens viewed, feature usage, connection events, crash and performance diagnostics, general device characteristics, and an approximate location derived from your IP address (country/region level — not precise GPS location).
Free users are shown ads served by Google AdMob. To do this the App requests the
Advertising ID (AD_ID permission) and shares ad-related data with
Google as described in Google's advertising policies. Subscribers who remove ads are not shown ads.
If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging generates a device push token so we can send you service messages, offers, and announcements.
Purchases (such as the "Remove Ads" subscription) are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive your purchase and entitlement status from Google. We never receive or store your full payment card number or bank details — those are handled by Google Play.
The following are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us: your app settings and preferences (DNS, kill-switch, auto-connect, notifications, selected server), onboarding state, in-app gamification/reward statistics, and any free-time balance.

The App relies on the following service providers, each with its own privacy policy:
These providers may process data on servers located outside your country. We rely on the providers' contractual and technical safeguards for such international transfers.
Device/session data used for authentication is retained only as long as needed to operate the service and is refreshed or cleared when your session expires. Analytics data is retained according to Google's default retention settings. Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the App.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We use encryption for VPN connections and industry-standard measures to protect data in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
